- Married, in Richlands, July 26, by Rev. P.J. Lockhart,
Mr. James Pack and Miss Ella Gillespie. Attendants, Jon
Matney and Miss P. Gillespie, Wm. Crabtree and Miss Pack.
A splendid dinner and everything pleasant.

Pounding Mill
June 5 - Mr. John Pack is suffering with his old complaint
rheumatism.
June 5 - Mr. Melville Anderson (husband of Ellen Pack) who
has been confined to his room for several weeks, with a
cut knee, is improving.
June 26 - Mrs. Melville Anderson (Ellen Pack) and Mrs.
Fred Quesenberry (Cynthia Pack) attended the quarterly
meeting at Lockhart's Chapel Sunday.
August 7
- Mr. John Pack has been quite ill the past week
August
23 - Married on the 15th, at the brides sister's, Mr.
James Quesenberry to Miss Alice Caldwell. The party
immediately after the ceremony retired to the groom's
father's to enjoy the good dinner which was prepared
there. (Son of Fred Quesenberry and Cynthia Pack).
September 25 - Mr. Isom Quesenberry
is very ill with flux. (Son of Cynthia Pack Quesenberry).

July 10 -
Mrs. Melvin Anderson, (Ellen Pack) Mrs. Jim Osborn, Mrs.
John Asbury, and Miss Sallie Maxwell attended quarterly
meeting at Jones Chapel Sunday.

January 8 - Mrs. Melville (sic)
Anderson (Ellen Pack) has been confined to her bed since
Monday before xmas suffering with neuralgia of the
stomach. We are glad to note that she is improving. Dr.
Melvin Crockett of Knob, attending physician.
March 5 -
Mr. Pack an aged citizen has been ill at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Fred Quesenberry, (Cynthia Pack) the past
week.
March 10
- A new daughter at the home of Mr. Isom Quesenberry. (Son
of Cynthia Pack Quesenberry).
October
22 - Mr. Lee Anderson (Son of Ellen Pack) has gone to WV
to engage in mining business till Xmas, but he's expected
back this week.
1898

March 25 - Miss Matilda Quesenberry has been suffering
with erysipelas. (Daughter of Cynthia Pack Quesenberry).
April 1 - The following
persons attended the quarterly meeting at Maxwell on last
Sunday viz: Mrs. Melvin Anderson (Ellen Pack), Mr. and
Mrs. Richard White, Miss Matilda Anderson, Messrs. Will
McGraw, R.M. Sparks and C.P Williams.
May 20 - Messrs. Lee Anderson and John Tate are both laid
up with a mashed foot.
April 29
- Married - Mr. Robert Hill and Miss Louisa Shelton,
daughter of R.J. Shelton, were married yesterday evening
at the bride's home, near Doran
October 4
- Mrs. Cynthia Quesenberry (nee Pack) who has had exema
all summer is improving.
October 4 - Misses Sallie and Barbara Crewey, of Cedar
Bluff visited Miss Matilda Quesenberry from Saturday till
Sunday.

May 12 -
Mr. Melvin Anderson got his knee badly hurt at saw mill
one day this week, and is still confined to his bed.
(this may be 1895, might have gotten the dates mixed
up???)
November
3 - Mr. Melvin Anderson has moved into the Southeastern
suburbs of the town.
1901 Pounding

July 12- Mrs. Hoop's
baby, about one year old, that was drowned in the flood,
was found on the ninth day by Isom Quesenberry, in a bad
state of decomposition.
1903 Pounding

January 16 - Mr. Dud Earls,
who was shot here Xmas evening, was able to get down town
yesterday and is almost well, although at first his case
seemed serious. The fuss on Xmas morning ended without
anyone being hurt.
