- In the Clinch Valley Newspaper Tazewell Virginia 14 Mar 1912Mr. Byrd P. Brewster, whose illness was mentioned from time to time in these columns, passed away at the Williams Hospital at Richlands, on Thursday night, March 7, at 8 o'clock, lacking part of a day of being 43 years old. His body was brought to his home here on Friday and buried from the Church of God on Saturday. The funeral was preached by Rev. G.R. Thomas, of this place, at 12 o'clock, to a very large crowd of relatives and friends of the deceased, many being from a distance. After which his body was taken charge of by about thirty Odd Fellows and buried at the Ringstaff Cemetery here. Mr. Brewster was saved some time ago, had backslidden, but was reclaimed soon after he was taken to the hospital. he was a kind and loving husband, an honest and good citizen, who will be missed. He leaves a wife, three brothers, George and James, of this place, and Joe of English, WV., and three sisters, Mrs. Sam Conner, of Simmons, Mrs. Gus Cyphers, English, Mrs. Andy Brewster, Cucumber, besides his mother, at English WV. Mr. Brewster loved God and the church, and he always attended when he could possibly do so. May God comfort the bereaved ones, especially his companion who is so lonely without him.May 31, 1912Mr. Byrd Bruster's grave will be decorated here Sunday afternoon by the Odd Fellows. Rev. Isaac Wright, of Bluefield, will preach at 2 o'clock
